Something new

So today has been a little on the crazy side.  Hubby was home for his flex day and it was great because he was able to work on getting the back yard ready for Irene.  It was business as usual at SERC until the last half hour when we put plastic bags over the computers and unplugged everything in case of a power surge.

MAC had a good day at school and is very happy that Friday's are homework free. 

My left front head light is out on my car and I have been stopped 2 times in less than 3 days.  I decided that I would get this fixed today before the rain tomorrow.  Last night I went to the auto parts store, took out the manual, and purchased a headlight.  When I got to work today one of our security guys said he would put it in for me, which was great until he said I had gotten the wrong light.  I took an extra 45 minutes at lunch trying to find the right one.  I went to Good Year because I was told they carried it, they wanted to charge me $59 to install the thing!  I went to Truck'n'Stuff and got the other light the book said.  When I got back I was told, once again it was the wrong thing!  I took the original light back to exchange for the last one in the book.  When I got home Hubby was there to help me install it, but some how along the way I had gotten the bulb for the high beams.

The three of us went back to the auto parts store one more time.  Hubby decided after this many times, that we should all do something new:  go see the new comic book shop in Annapolis.  It was a really neat little store and MAC really liked their Manga section.  We had a really nice end to the evening and MAC is excited about going to Faire tomorrow.
