"What's the point of snow if it doesn't get you out of school?" That was MACs theory when we heard there could be snow today. Anne Arundel County got out 2 hours early before the first snow flake even fell and when I kept looking outside and still no snow had fallen when we left for Girl Scouts at 6 I thought it was the silliest thing that had ever happened.
Apparently even though there was no snow some sort of precipitation had been falling. We skated out to the car and had gotten half way out of our parking lot when the leader called to cancel the meeting. It was almost a solid piece of ice from our door to the car.
I think that she will probably get her wish tomorrow and get at least a delay in the school opening. We are still under a Winter Weather Advisory and we are hoping that the ice will have melted enough that it isn't dangerous in the morning.
